One of the most famous men who ever lived was Samson. What boy ever grew up not wanting what he had: women and muscles? Yet, the account of Samson is not a jolly, happy, feel-good story. A study of his life is filled with incredible lessons and applications to our own lives, but the man was truly a dichotomy, an enigma, an unsolvable puzzle. Appointed and called before birth, Samson was Anointed by the Spirit with super-human strength, and yet, for all obvious appearances, he was a carnal sex-hound with hardly a consideration of God in his life. I’ve studied him and written this book, but I continue to scratch my head and ask the question: “Will someone please explain this man to me?”.
